With bathroom stops, it takes about 2 hours to drive to Valle De Guadalupe from San Diego.

Masks are required when entering and exiting venues. Some places required temperature checks, and the use of sanitizer when entering. We provide a mask in case you need one.

For trips that have been upgraded to private, we will pick you up from your desired pick up location within San Diego County. Public trips depart from Liberty Station (Free Parking).

If you need to cancel for any reason, we offer a full refund within 72 hours of booking. Otherwise, we are able to provide a 50% refund for the individuals or the group up until the trip date.

Yes, we have the coolers in the van. One is loaded with water and the other is for your beverages.

Yes, one liter of alcohol per person may be entered into the United States duty-free. Typically two bottles of wine per person is allowed.

We have a vehicle pass for the Global entry/Sentri, if anyone has a Global entry or Sentri card can stay in the car. Otherwise, you will use the pedestrian lane, which normally takes 30 to 45 mins. We do this to avoid the 2+ hour wait in the general car lane.

The border is about a 30 min drive from San Diego. When crossing into Mexico, everyone stays in the car and your passport does not need to be shown. A quick routine inspection is done by the border agents, and then get ready to have the time of your life!

Yes, all riders are covered with our personal liability insurance coverage. Our guides are passionate, experienced motorcyclists who have your safety as their top priority and our rig is meticulously maintained by certified mechanics and seasoned sidecar experts.
In addition, our tour routes exclusively follow quiet, spacious side streets with little traffic, typically cruising at around 25 MPH. We have a perfect safety record and work tirelessly to keep it that way.

Nope. We ask our guests to dress comfortably and to watch the weather forecasts in case of inclement weather.
Planning a longer trip to Paso Robles? We suggest packing a variety of clothes from shirts and shorts to long sleeves and pants as the weather may change during your stay.

Usually, wineries serve four to five 1 oz pours of various wines from their wine tasting menu. We highly encourage our guests to pace themselves as these tastings add up, which is another reason why having your own private guide and driver is very beneficial.

At the moment, we can accommodate up to 6 guests at one time, two for each sidecar. Note: we can accommodate up to a party of 9 if some guests are comfortable sitting behind our guides.
For larger parties of 10+, we can coordinate our tour in waves to ensure that everyone enjoys the main features of the experience together. Please contact us in advance to ensure availability.

Yes, absolutely! Paso Robles and the San Luis Obispo county have a plethora of fun, unique experiences for people of all ages.
Outside of our signature wine tours, Third Wheel Tours offers luxury picnics on the vineyard and exclusive sightseeing adventures for non-drinkers. Also, as a premier partner of Cass Winery, we can help coordinate other activities like axe throwing, archery, and olive oil tasting.

We typically have our guests meet us at Cass Winery for their tours. For custom pick ups/drop offs, we can accommodate locations within 10 minutes of our starting location for an additional fee.

Yes. Our custom sidecars are built up to North American safety standards and are fully certified by the US Department of Transportation. We strictly abide by the same rules and regulations as any other motorized vehicle traveling on public roads and highways.
Sidecar motorcycles have 3 wheels, so they are very safe and stable compared to standard 2-wheel motorcycles. Our guests can sit back and relax knowing that our vehicles are safe for adults and children (age 7+) alike.
Additionally, sidecar motorcycles are not fast vehicles; they are built for pleasant cruising, not for high-speed driving. Our tour routes have been constructed away from major highways and we typically cruise around 25-30 mph.

Yes. There is nothing more important to us than your personal safety! California law requires sidecarists and passengers to wear helmets.
It is our strict company policy for everyone to wear DOT-approved helmets. We provide elegant helmets of all sizes at no additional cost, which are are cleaned and sanitized after every use to keep in pristine condition.

While we haven’t experienced many issues, our sidecars can handle approximately 600 lbs. of total weight, including our guide and passengers. The maximum weight per passenger is approximately 200 lbs. or combined passenger weight of 400 lbs.
Also, please note that in order to embark on an adventure with us, every member of your group is required to sign a liability waiver.

In the event of inclement weather that could affect the quality and safety of the tour, we reserve the right to postpone and reschedule the tour. We understand that plans can change, so if the new date doesn’t work for you, we’re happy to offer a refund in the form of a digital gift card with no additional fee and no expiration date.
For our out-of-state or international customers, we kindly request proof of travel in the form of a travel ticket to process a full refund.

Guests are allowed to reschedule for any reason without penalty with at least a 72 hour notice. Reschedule requests received <72 hours prior to a guest’s reservation will result in a $50 rescheduling fee.
There will be no refunds for same day or next day reservations. No exceptions.
If you absolutely need to cancel your reservation, we offer a full refund within 24 hours of booking for reservations made 3 days in advance. After 24 hours, we are able to provide a 50% refund for any cancellations not due to inclement weather.

Tipping is always highly encouraged and greatly appreciate as our tour guides work hard to provide a memorable experience for all guests.
Tipping is left up to the individual, but as a general practice, 15% – 20% of the total tour cost is common in the tourism industry.
